Great sound

This system has everything we wanted all in one box. We have it hooked
up to a Samsung 52" LCD tv. It was a quick setup and we love the
effects of the sound. The blueray player is excellent. Movies are clear
as a bell. It's great that we don't have cords running to the back of

Fantastic sounding speakers!

I was very nervous about ordering speakers that I had never heard
before, and also there were no other reviews that I could find. And, I
ordered all the decor speaker covers so I was hoping everything would
sound okay.



Well, to my relief, the speakers sound fantastic!! As a matter of fact,
they sound MUCH clearer, cleaner, and warmer than the Klipsch bookshelf
speakers they replaced! They also are much louder from the same amp, so
I guess they are more efficient. By the way my amp is not that great so
I was so glad these sound so good from even an average amp.



The subwoofer is plenty powerful, I live in a condo so I have not
cranked it all the way up, but I have it at about 1/4 volume and it
fills out the low end completely and booms when needed. It has a
frequency control and also a volume control which is nice.



The satellites seem to be very high quality. They are made of metal and
pretty heavy. I almost knew when I took the first one out of the box
that it would sound good because it felt so solid. And luckily, it did.
I really like how they are very clean in the high end, so I can now
hear the dialogue in movies without having to turn up the stereo so
high.

Great sound, good price and easy set up.


When I recently bought a new Sony 40" LCD TV I discovered the TV
speakers were better than my old cheapie surround sound system. I then
bought this Sony HTSS360. I'm a long way from an audio expert but I
know good sound when I hear it and this system has it all the way from
the high to the low pitched sounds. I can now hear even faint
sounds/sound effects I never knew existed with my old sound system.
Between the new TV and this surround sound system all my existing DVD's
are like watching all new movies. It may be a little on the subjective
side but my movies appear to have better color and clarity than when
the feed was direct from my DVD player. Very easy to set up and play
using one remote with the Bravia Sync. In my case just two HDMI cables,
sat box and DVD player, to the receiver and one HDMI out to the TV,
easy.

result. I have them with yamaha 463 receiver and they sound great. I'am

These are absolutely the best speakers for the price. Everything comes
packed in a rather big and heavy(72lbs) box. The speakers are well
packed in this big box. The build quality and finish is excellent.
Especially, the subwoofer is huge and sounds sweet, it turns on and off
automatically. I am surprised that they included such a big subwoofer
at this price. I hooked these speakers to Sony-STR-DG800 receiver. All
the speakers have spring clips(cheap) to connect the speaker wire.
Speaking of the speaker wire, the supplied speaker wire is also cheap.
And for the price I paid, I absolutely don't have any complaints about
that. All the surround speakers are wall mountable. The bottom line, I
am very satisfied with these speakers and recommend to anyone not very
particular about the size.

1st time neophyte buyer of a Home Theater System

I purchased this unit to complement a Samsung LN52a550 HDTV. Didn't feel there was enough sound from the unit to complement the samsungs outstanding video. Shopped for reasonably priced HTIB units and decided (despite cautions that most didn't perform) to give this unit a try. In my wildest expectations I never thought this unit would perform up to its marketing description. Placed in a den of that is approx. 15 x 25 and playing a Dolby DVD, it placed me in a cinema that provides sound effects that truly astounded. I'll qualify this by saying that I'm a audio neophyte but for this sound at this amount of money I am truly impressed.



Be aware that this Sony unit is being used with a Samsung HDTV and consequently the transition between DVD usage & HDTV usage (must change input source) is a bit bothersome. I found that in order to obtain full surround sound from the unit when receiving audio only from you TV (not from the DVD) you must purchase a digital optical cable.



Hope I haven't misled any one but if you select this unit I don't believe you'll be disappointed.
